About Us

You don’t have to be a grown-up or even have a lot of money in order to make a difference. When she learned about Harriet Tubman in her first grade history class, Jessy was inspired by what a single person could do—even against great odds. She took the lesson to heart in third grade, when she organized a fundraiser for Smile Train, an international charity that provides cleft palate surgery to those in need. Jessy  wrote a letter to her principal and sent it with a magazine ad that explained the need for help. That resulted in a school-wide fundraiser where students and staff paid to guess who of the teachers belonged to the smile photos posted on the bulletin board. The fundraiser raised over $750. Jessy learned early on that you didn’t need to be an adult to make a difference. You didn’t even need to have a lot of money.

You really only need to spend the time, and make the commitment to make a difference.

That’s the idea behind Jessy’s Joy, an organization that brings together people and causes. Helping animals…helping kids…helping people who are ill…helping the poor…there’s no limit to what we can do if we want to help. If you know of a cause that needs support, let us know. If you want to help with time or money, reach out to us. Together, we can make a difference.
